Diploma of Leadership in Disability Services

Ability First Australia is pleased to introduce a new Diploma of Leadership in Disability Services (11461NAT).

This is the only accredited qualification designed for Frontline and aspiring Frontline leaders in the National Disability Insurance Scheme to equip them with the skills and knowledge to lead a high performing team, deliver effective services to NDIS participants, and contribute to the growth of your organisation.

Co-designed by Ability First Australia and UNE Partnerships, with extensive consultation from the sector, the Diploma aims to support the career development of experienced and emerging leaders in the disability services sector and includes practical assessments and the opportunity to demonstrate skills in the workplace.

The Diploma is now funded in Tasmania (and can be accessed via St Michaels Registered Training Organisation), Western Australia (accessed via Rocky Bay Registered Training Organisation) and Queensland (accessed via TAFE QLD; UNE Partnerships and Exell). Please contact your local RTO to confirm if you meet eligibility of the state funding program.

2. Toolkit Resources

These Toolkit Resources have been developed by UNE Partnerships and Ability First Australia with funding from Department of Social Services (DSS). Please download all 4 parts of the toolkit before beginning.

3. MPower108 Document Register and Policy and Procedure Register

In addition to the Toolkit Overview and associated documents, a simulated organisation named ‘MPower108’ has been developed to provide an organisational context to learning and assessment.
